Wearable technologies include a wide range of technologies from watches to VR. I decided to focus on wearable technologies because it is something relatable to most people including myself. It has been a long time since the very first wearable technology came out in 1286s which is the very first eyeglasses. I think wearable technologies is very suitable for this topic as it has over centuries of history and people are still designing and developing it in the age of 2020. I’m very curious as how the technologies will develop in the future and improve people’s life.

1510 – Marine Chronometer Pocket Watch

1644 – The Abacus Ring

1907 – Wearable Camera

1961 – Wearable Computer

1975 – Pulsar Calculator Wrist Watch

1977 – HP-01 Algebraic Calculator Watch

1979 – Sony Walkman

1987 – Phoenix Digital Hearing Aid

1999 – BlackBerry 850

2000 – Bluetooth Headset

2004 – Microsoft SPOT Smartwatch

2014 – Google Glass

2016 – Oculus Rift

The hypothesis of the future of wearable technologies

These are just my imagination of the future.

· Smart phones can be replaced with glasses

· Virtual reality movements without any actual physical movements

· Programmable clothing patterns

· Wristwatch that replace everything in your wallet

· Practical exoskeletons for heavy lifting and rehab

· Glasses that changes based on your vision

· Clothing with temperature control

· Shoes that auto clean itself

· Clothing that changes sizes as you grow

· Shoes that makes you run faster
